Problem
Strategic Resources (SRC), an investment advisory and fund management
company, had no comprehensive records management program or formal guidelines
to classify, maintain and retain records. Their existing system was not
sufficient to control digital records and SRC was planning to install
a computer-based document management system for hard copy and digital
records.

- Revised and updated records retention schedules.
- Revised and expanded master classifications of all records.
- Developed user procedures and instructions for the master classifications
to be incorporated into the iManage and RMS users manuals, including
user profile screens.
- Developed a procedures manual for the operation of the central file
room to assure the proper flow of information throughout the corporation.
